I believe the ipad will be a flop. At least a netbook offers multitasking. I love my iphone 3Gs, but the OS they have running is good for just that a phone or a ipod not a tablet. There needs to be better structure with the OS with more multitasking functions. I believe the Windows 7 Mobile which will also be multitouch will be the king of the Tablets like Apple is king of the cell phone and ipod. I am sorry to say that at this time I prefer and slow processor netbook over the ipad and my netbook has a webcam.

Then again, I'm already pretty committed to my HP tablet, so I'm probably not their target demographic. I think once people stop thinking of this as a tablet-killer and consider it a netbook-competitor it will gain some ground.

No multitasking? Is that even possible? AND no Flash? So it honestly is just a larger iPhone minus the phone and camera?

The other points are somewhat understandable, but multitasking... man. There are lots of articles out now claiming the $499 price will be a threat to "other tablets" but this thing isn't even a netbook. Oh well, everyone fails sometimes.

I think this is the first step toward the new generation of netbooks. Someone else will produce a tablet-style netbook that will have a camera, support flash, and probably run chromeOS or Ubuntu. The DRM is no surprise given the manufacturer. I'd wait around for another few years and get something with more freedom.
